My name is Lynn Lombardo, and I am a psychotherapist.
Welcome and thank you for visiting my site.
But we often haven’t learned how to express our feelings or don’t feel safe in doing so.
We sometimes shame ourselves for what we are feeling and then cope by repressing and internalizing our feelings.
This leads to emotional difficulties and physical problems.
Or we lash out, causing problems in our relationships.
In addition, we repeatedly go over things in our head, engaging in negative self-talk.
These thoughts lead to stories that we create and then ultimately the beliefs we have about ourselves, often of inadequacy.
We become stuck, caught in this endless loop, unable to move forward in our lives.
I CAN HELP YOU CHANGE THIS PATTERN.
As a psychotherapist I can help you:
manage your feelings in a healthy manner,
know and express your real and fully empowered self,
speak your truth,
move forward and create the life you want for yourself.
Because, really, that’s what we’re here to do.
“Our feelings are always the primary causes of the conditions or effects in our lives. Our lives are initially controlled by our feelings, which, in turn, create our thoughts. Everything we are today is the sum total of all the feelings we have had to this moment. If we wish our lives to be different in the future, it is necessary to change our feelings, which then changes our thinking, in the present. By so doing, we change the direction of our lives!” Feelings: Buried alive never die… Karol K. Truman
Psychotherapy to Help You Find Greater Fulfilment and Joy in Your Life
I am a Limited License Psychologist.* I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. I have worked as an outpatient therapist, as well as in other capacities in the human services field for over 25 years.
I believe one of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ongoing involvement in my own personal process of change. Self-growth has been the defining factor in my life. I utilize what I have learned from my own process in order to help others.
*A Limited License Psychologist may practice under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist.
